PENELOPE BLANCHARD, Handwriting Analyst

ANALYSIS OF LETTER FROM TY COBB
by PENELOPE BLANCHARD

At the time Penelope Blanchard did her analysis, the writer was anonymous. (I covered up the words at the top of the letterhead.)

This writer has broken away from the need of emotional security and dependency on a home base, as well as any attachment to his Early
beginnings.

He displays cultural good taste and has a certain reserve with others. However he prefers to be the loner, the isolationist who views the rest of the world from a distance. This is his protection, his social aloofness which maintains his control. He may be academic, scientific or artistic and uses his isolation to immerse himself in his work.

He is most assuredly reserved and is one who is not interested in exposing his feelings to a wide audience. He may be a worker who has high concentrative abilities. He can stick to a tedious job for long periods without becoming tired or bored. He is probably also modest and unassuming. He is a practical and realistic thinker, however he has a certain resistance to new ideas or is a bit narrowminded in his views.

It is entirely possible that the subject suffered isolation from the Father for one reason or another. He withdraws and seeks distance from
authority, but is rather submissive and suffers quite a measure of feelings of inferiority.

He has a normal desire for good food, love of material possessions and physical comforts.

Others may find him rather slow to start a project, but his initial self-trust steadily gains courage. He fights against being pessimistic all the time. He is also has an excellent memory. He shows the
connotation of a strong visual quality which is often seen in painters, designers, photographers, and even graphologists.

He may be fugal and can organize his time and energy. He may even concentrate on withholding his personal resources of time, money, and
energy until he is sure his efforts will be worth while, though we are not talking stinginess here, just conservation of ones time and personal
resources verses gain in business.

He has a romantic willingness to reach out and touch someone. This is usually the organized and clear thinking person, but he is willing to be sidetracked by a pleasant personal contact.

He shows an overabundance of emotional expression which may be used in an artistic way. He may be overly sentimental and easily moved under sudden stress, where control is difficult to maintain.

He also seems to carry a lot of tension in his body. He is automatically cautious and shy and he doesn't express his true feelings easily. He may be resisting emotional expression in order to maintain his own dignity and independence. By being a good listener he can acceptably avoid discussing his own affairs and feelings.

He thinks for himself yet has social awareness and interacts with other. He is analytical and apt to be impatient.

Trying his best with a meager ego, to survive on his own authority or nurturing abilities. He is a taker, not a giver and is cautious and aloof.

With his shy and self effacing personality he is quite modest and most likely prefers solitude to the social scene.. He relies mostly on his own self assurance and does not require bolstering from others.

Again he is very aware of social boundaries, has poise, order, control and an aesthetic sense. He is internally inhibited and his power is blocked from expression.

He is responsive to color, light and sound in the environment, which points to which indicates artistic of all kinds, as well as individuals who are creative in their work. This individual can not express his aggressive feelings in a social situation and will behave with charm and sweetness even when he doesn't like someone or something. It does against his grain to be offensive and even a bitter enemy can get a warm greeting in public. It's an indication often of a sly and cunningn nature - one who can win without being temperamental. This type of writer is almost always eccentric. If someone is going one way - he'll go the other.
So it's really only in his desire to preserve social protocol that this subject is a traditionalist. Privately he's a rebel. He has a good memory, but does not absorb information quickly. He's quite serious and usually needs a lot of time to make up his mind. Once it's made up he'll stick with the decision, no matter what!

The ability to express emotional feelings has been stunted. ( when things are repeated , but perhaps in a different way, it is so that you can see that the tendency is reinforced by another aspect of the writing sample.)

He is analytical and logical. He doesn't just "believe" he insists on the facts or proves things to himself before he would accepts anything as a belief or a theory of his own. He really enjoys figuring things out and can be an excellent strategist. His determination to succeed and ability to work energetically cannot be equaled, but the variety and complexity of human emotions remain a baffling mystery to him.

There is an indication that he can , at times have a bad disposition and could have a violent tendency, though I have only seen this once in this sample. If I were giving advice to someone concerning this person, I would let them know that it is JUST something only to be aware of and not a real outstanding proven fact.

It is also interesting to note that he has manual dexterity, which tells me that this person uses the right and left side of his brain easily, another indication of some type of ability of a creative nature.

He does suffer from personal fears and experiences hopeless resignation caused most likely by his own poor self talk and the inability to share himself with others. He keeps his personal affairs to himself and is reluctant and unwilling to share. He's quiet, acts with pride and dignity and will not show hurt feelings, ever. Though he is certainly capable of being hurt and may just take that ball and run too far with it.

He is most like known as a good listener, in this way he get away, in an acceptable manner, with not having to share his own feelings or problems. He is a rapid thinker and will also use humor and sarcasm in an effort to keep up his public facade.

He is also a literary lover and again spends a lot of time to himself and studies many things for his own entertainment, thus he can also speak on many different subjects that are NOT personal or emotional.

Even in his signature he expresses his thoughts but not his identity. This can indicate secretiveness, creativeness, inwardly hateful of himself or could have reduced his name to a hieroglyph like a doctor or an Artist of some creative endeavor.
