These are mostly things I've discovered and defined through my 25 years of experience and the thousands of birth charts I've read.
You won't find them in any books. Enjoy and use judiciously. This is KEYWORD astrology. Any information conveyed to a client must be conveyed with the utmost tact and diplomacy and in your judgment must fit the overall chart tone and other themes which you see in the chart.

The aspect of the planets includes conjunct, trine, square and opposition.

THE SUN

  • Sun opposite Moon: the parents' viewpoint on things may have been so far apart that the head and your heart are rarely together
  • Sun conjunct Moon: the head and your heart are mercifully together at all times. You can only imagine how delightful this is if you don't have it yourself natally!
  • Sun/Venus: often great beauty (sometimes inner as well)
  • Sun/Jupiter: a "great" person, jovial, honest, well loved, magnanimous
  • Sun/Saturn: delayed success in life. They may have to try much longer and harder than others. They may see others much less talented getting ahead of you.
  • Sun/Uranus: They may be a couple of generations ahead of the times
  • Sun/Neptune: where conjunct or trine, an angel. Where square or opposition, may be a bit ike a misguided saint; people with this aspect can join quasi-spiritual groups, cults, give all their money away, sleep with everyone in the cult, swear to secrecy, etc.
  • Sun/Pluto: psychotic, megalomaniac or healer, you be the judge

THE MOON

  • Moon/Saturn: may indicate abandonment, neglect, orphan
  • Moon in Aries; if a woman, may prefer company of men
  • Moon in Libra, if a woman, may prefer company of women
  • Moon/Uranus: gay

Basically, there are two types of gay: one dislikes woman and runs to men; the other is seduced over into the feminine. If a woman, you can feel the animosity (great Jungian word) of the first group toward you. The second group loves you because you share common interests such as decorating, gardening and shopping. Moon/Uranus is the first type. The second type is shown by a lot of watery feminine planets and energy in a man's chart. In astrology we have absolutely no judgments about gayness.

  • Moon in Pisces: can't "listen" - they may not process information verbally and can have distorted impressions of things - for example, "Didn't that person you lent money to say they had just gone bankrupt last year?"
  • Moon/Mars, an attack dog on a leash … watch out because sooner or later it will break free
  • Moon/Neptune: may be truly out of touch with the day to day in a disturbing manner or occasionally they make good psychics. This is an aspect of someone who has no boundaries. This is not a good thing.
  • Moon/Pluto: searing pain and great losses emotionally. This is keyword astrology. If the person hasn't experienced this yet, it may not be time to speak of it. However, chances are they may bring it up themselves. Always be wise with your astrological power. You could always be wrong!
  • Moon/Jupiter: a Guardian Angel within, at least relative to the rest of us (great mom)

MERCURY

  • Sun/Mercury one or two degrees from the Sun is called "Mercury Cosimi". May indicate someone who may not be able to listen well (i.e., they may be answering you alreadyin their head … lots of mind chatter and static)
  • Mercury/Mars: Ok, wait a minute. Who's crazy here?!?
  • Mercury/Jupiter: May be sensationally telepathic
  • Mercury/Uranus: brilliance or eccentricity, depending on other factors in the chart, also dyslexia and other learning disabilities; a possibility also of nervous disorders such as MS

VENUS

  • Venus/Pluto: May indicate compulsion in love or prostitution (there are lots of kind!) or a cursed love life; also venereal disease and lately AIDS

MARS

  • Mars/Venus: "Charlie Chaplin" aspect, euphemistically, a very active love life
  • Mars/Neptune: painfully castrated (of course I speak symbolically)
  • Mars/Uranus: may be accident prone, moving too fast for the circumstances, also sugar addiction and nervousness/irritability (the kind of thing you'd think Rydlin would take care of). The best that can come of it is that they be fanatically good at something, such as Rudolf Nureyev, the ballet dancer
  • Mars/Pluto: may be criminal, Mafia, etc., violent, much to do with power or abuse of power (think Richard Nixon) Seen in rape charts (of the women and the men ... there are no victims in astrology, just volunteers) Also pawn shops, vice squad, corruption, drug dealing, etc.; also death by sex which includes AIDS. Needless to say it is difficult to handle this aspect well. The best use I've seen is a gentleman who was a federal bounty hunter and tracked down criminals who had skipped bail. Others may feel they "can't let go" creatively and sexually, fearing their own violence or going over the edge.

ASPECTS TO THE ASCENDANT

  • Venus: usually very charming and attractive
  • Mars: May be anywhere from feisty to truly obnoxious. - Richard Idemon tells the story of a tiny little old lady he read for who was a Pisces and just as sweet as could be. One day someone tried to mug her in Central Park and she beat him over the head with her umbrella and tried to sit on him while she called for the police. She had Mars in aspect to her Ascendant.
  • Jupiter: a great person or a great big person
  • Saturn: authority figure; also you may get positions of authority just because you "look the part" (big, tall, white hair : think Nicholaisha of the Romanovs or Charleton Heston before he went off the deep end)
  • Uranus*: may enjoy shocking people, may look a bit strange, like they are from another planet (Peter Lorre) or may enjoy looking like they are from another planet such as teenagers with purple hair and nose rings who look so disappointed when you don't react to them; can also be an indication of nervous disorders such as MS, other things being equal, or paralysis, viruses, etc.. It is very difficult to have Uranus on the Ascendant. I mean people find it very difficult to warm up to you because it's like you take their finger and stick it in an electrical socket.
  • Neptune: may be all things to all people, ephemeral (but remember the Ascendant is just upon first meeting), anima type women, or no identity at all (Marilyn Monroe was a classic example)
  • Pluto*: although you may not talk much, you sure can't slip quietly into a room. You are noticed! Also if someone is hiding something they will become paranoid about you because they think you can see right through them. As with Scorpio Rising, there is the tendency for others to project their dirty little business onto you :

The best book I ever read is no longer in print, but you can buy it an auction on amazon.com or do a used book search, "Aspects" by Jeanne Avery. Avery read for many famous people and can use vivide examples in that sense but she also has a way of brining these aspects alive with examples from real peoples' lives.
