This is what Dolly says ...

"I am more than happy to help spread the news that losing that much weight is possible. I'd also be happy to have you write an article about me. You can even use the before and after photo if you want.

"I've tried lots of diets over the years (I have been overweight off and on since I was 9 years old). Exercise is good in conjunction with the diet. I really believe that the combo of the two is unbeatable.

"I think that I just learned to love myself over the last year. I've NEVER had confidence in myself as a woman until last year. I've learned that I am attractive, sexy, smart, funny, and worthy of happiness no matter what my size. That was a lesson that took me 38 years to learn. I can never go back (and why would I want to? LOL)."

THE DIET

This is Dolly's prize winning diet, the one that really works! She explains,

"Anyway, I have been following the Carbohydrate Addict's diet by Drs. Richard and Rachel Heller. The theory is that your body releases excess insulin which causes your body to store fat. When you reduce your carbohydrate intake for 2 meals a day it causes your body to release less insulin which in turn helps you burn more fat. I would suggest that you buy the book. It is an inexpensive paperback that probably only costs about $5. It has recipes and carb counters which are helpful. [buy book from amazon.com with one click]

"The basic routine is that you don't eat anything with more than 3 carbs per serving for 2 meals daily. I choose breakfast and lunch because I like to eat dinner with the family. For your 3rd meal per day you can eat whatever you want as long as you eat it within one hour.

"For breakfast you can have eggs, meat, cheese, veggies (other than carrots, broccoli, cauliflower -- who eats those for breakfast anyway?) etc.

"For lunch I usually have some sort of salad with meat. You can have a taco salad, a chicken salad, just no tortilla strips or tortilla bowls ... things like that. I eat at El Pollo Loco a lot. They have a new low carb meal that you can order. It is actually too much for me. I get a two piece combo with double salad, white meat chicken, and no tortillas or tortilla strips (you can have dark meat -- I just prefer white).

"For dinner I try to have a balanced meal but also if I have been craving something I try to include that. I really haven't been hungry at all on this diet. I don't get snacky or hungry midday and I don't get the urge to take a nap after lunch."

IF YOU TRY THIS DIET, GOOD LUCK! AND THANKS TO DOLLY FOR PROVIDING IT.

HOW DOLLY FOUND HER BOYFRIEND

Dolly has a new boyfriend and we wondered how they met ... this is what Dolly said.

"I found him by accident on match.com. I was searching someone else's profile and it asked if I wanted to see more profiles like this one.

"He was all the way in San Diego so I'm still not sure how he popped up. I e-mailed him (he is a Disney fanatic and so am I so he struck my interest). He e-mailed me back and said that San Diego was pretty far did I really want a LDD ("long distance dating"). I said (famous last words) San Diego isn't that far..... I e-mailed him August 1st, we had our first phone conversation on August 3rd, our first date on the following Thursday."

DATING TIPS FROM DOLLYLAMA

Dolly explains how she found these websites ... and why she recommends them ...

"I actually found these web sites the weekend that my boyfriend and I almost broke up. I was angry and frustrated.

"I had been going to the yahoo BBW ("Big and Beautiful Women") chat room and had been talking to one really nice guy who wasn't out for just computer sex. I kept getting IMs ("Instant Messages") from guys that wanted to flirt. I told my friend that I didn't know so many guys liked heavy women. He told me, "Baby, you have NO idea". He said there's an old Hispanic saying, "Leave the bones for the dog. Meat is for the men" or something like that. He and I actually keep in touch still.

"After I talked to him I realized that if there was a chat room for BBWs there must be dating sites. There are men from all countries and all walks of life. They aren't weirdoes or losers either. I dated one guy who made a very handsome living and was very put together and successful. I also get a lot of e-mails from guys in Egypt, Jordan, etc. I wouldn't want that long distance dating though but it is nice to meet people from all over the world that would like to date big and beautiful women."

also www.bbwdatefinder.com - the one Dolly found the most helpful! - for big beautiful women and admirers

These websites can be a big help in finding the right person. Self acceptance is where it all starts.

As for yahoo chat, Dolly is a little hesitant to recommend it because of the nature of some of the visitors. If you decide you would like to, though, go to yahoo chat, then romance, then bbw and admirers.

TRANSITS FOR WEIGHT LOSS

Notes from Nancy:

It is actually easier to lose weight when there are other changes and even losses going on in life. This is related to the energy of that kind of transit. Loss = "loss". Question: Why lose something valuable when you could lose weight instead? That is the principle behind the description.

The hardest time to lose weight would be when you have Jupiter on the Ascendant. It is also difficult when you have Jupiter transiting Venus because you can feel like you should have anything you want! Jupiter is a planet that can be connected with excesses. People with Jupiter or Neptune in the 1st house or Sagittarius Rising sometimes have issues with being "big" or "unlimited".

It is not wise to start a program when the Moon is in Cancer or Leo. Both of these signs like to indulge. Cancer may equate food with nurturing. Leo likes to have fun with food!

Good times to start a weight change program:

  • Moon in Aries, especially New Moon, for the energy and initiative
  • Moon in Virgo for good health aspect and establishing new habits and routines
  • Moon in Scorpio for that "do or die" attitude
  • Moon in Capricorn for self discipline and ability to postpone gratification
