Despite her tough exterior, legendary porn star Jenna Jameson has an extraordinarily close relationship with her brother. Let's look at this and learn some astrology.

Jenna Jameson is probably the most popular and successful pornography star there has ever been. She is single handedly changing the image of this industry. She has recently been featured in Newsweek and Forbes magazines. AskMen.com broke its rule about interviewing porn stars for this remarkable lady. Jameson's whole life seems to be about breaking rules or having them broken. The nickname "Heartbreaker", given to her by her father, is tattooed on her body.

This is Jenna Jameson's astrology chart. She was born April 9, 1974 in Las Vegas. She states this in her autobiography.

At the time this article is being written, Jameson has Pluto transiting opposite her Mars at 23° Sagittarius and Gemini respectively. She has just been included in July 2005 FORBES CELEBRITY 100 for her pornography empire and recently sued the publisher of her best-selling book, How to Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale in a contract dispute over rights to an upcoming reality show.

Jameson began in high school around 1992 as an underage stripper and moved into porn flicks. By 1996, she had become a star, earning the triple crown of the porn industry: the XRCO Best New Starlet, The AVN Best New Starlet and the F.O.X.E [very graphic] Video Vixen. She was the first entertainer to win all three.

ARIES SUN

Jameson's Sun is in the dynamic fire sign of Aries. In her autobiography she mentions many fights with men and women, literal fist fights, kicking, throwing things, breaking doors and windows, etc. She showed a competitive spirit from very early on. Now she is exercising her Aries prerogative as an entrepreneur.

Jameson's Aries Sun is opposed by Uranus, giving her the electrifying sex appeal for which she is famous. Her South Node conjunct Saturn and Mars means she was a fierce fighter even in past lives. Think Russell Crowe in Gladiator. Jameson learned a lot about jockeying for position with men in her past lives and still thinks like a man. She has outsmarted them in a field where women are traditionally treated like a Kleenex to masturbate in.

As Jameson talks about what she does in her book, you get the feeling she is outside the experience looking at it from a guy's perspective in a noncommittal way. Referring to her acting ability in porn flicks, for example, she mentions trying very hard to improve notwithstanding the fact that she knows the guy will have one hand on his anatomy and the other on the fast forward button to skip the plot and get to the good parts. Still, she thinks acting is important.

Actually, in this lifetime Jameson is supposed to move from close combat with men (!) to learning wisdom and philosophy.

SCORPIO MOON

Jameson's Scorpio Moon indicates an intense erotic quality that comes through in her films. It is also reflective of the death of her mother when she was three years old. Her Moon is at 25 degrees Scorpio, conjunct my Rising Sign. I think that is why I feel such connection and admiration for her. Jameson's father was loving but not reliable throughout the rest of her life and if the autobiography is to be believed, she is now supporting him as he has severe health problems and is financially insolvent. Most of her 20s, her relationship with him was by phone as he moved around the country on the run. Very Saturn in Gemini.

SATURN IN GEMINI

Jameson's Saturn Return in Gemini began October 2, 2002. Gemini is the sign that rules brothers and sisters.

These are the events which transpired at her Saturn Return.

1. In 2002, she appeared on MTV in the video for Eminem's "Without Me," an important crossover from porn to mainstream.
2. She signed a reported six-figure book deal for her autobiography which was released in 2004.
3. A year later she divorced Brad Armstrong after a 7-year separation and
4. married her boyfriend, studio owner Jay Grdina.
5. She also signed an exclusive 7-year deal with Vivid Entertainment Group (better quality adult features with storylines) to star in at least 15 films.
   

Jameson has the kind of breakthroughs that are possible with the first Saturn Return. She began leading an entirely different life.

Let's look behind the scenes.

Mars conjunct Saturn in Gemini shows the nature of her relationship with her father, brother and men. Jameson's father was there but not there. Bereft at the death of his beautiful young wife, financially devastated by the cost of her illness, two young children to raise, abandoned by both sides of the family, he was in one of life's most difficult positions. The constriction of Mars and Saturn in Gemini is like a choke hold. Mars is an action sign and is not comfortable in Gemini anyway.


Mars and Saturn are trine Uranus. There is an outlet for this energy after the throttling is over. There must be a kind of pent up electricity to Jameson's sexual performances I can only imagine since I haven't seen one of her performances. This placement also reveals her bisexuality. At this level, treating sex as exhibition or sport, Jameson would seem to be universally available and have universal appeal. Sex might be mainly a commodity to her, an item of trade, a way to wheel and deal in the world. Geminis are the asexual sign. Where her affections are concerned, with Moon in Scorpio it's a very different story. She would be emotionally monogamous forever and would find it hard to bond after the early loss of her mother.

Mars/Saturn/Uranus also shows her extremely close relationship with her brother, a few years older, who provided security and a source of appreciation and nurturing for her. Alone together in a lifeboat going nowhere, they fought, loved, lived and learned about the world together. Jameson acted a lot like a kid brother. Her brother defended her, knew all her secrets, read her diary and joked about having fights break out everywhere she went when she got older. This reflects the unemotionalized, unspiritualized connection between male sexuality and aggression in Saturn/Mars/Uranus (that she projected) at the crudest level ... boys and men are reacting like this ... it's got my attention, do I fight it or f--- it?

Symbolically speaking, Jameson was tight with her brother in many past lives, probably fighting together in many a battle, often as mercenaries. They think like one person. She will be with him again in a future life. Their relationship is extremely karmic. Saturn is also square Mercury, emphasizing the importance of this relationship and its tightness. From this relationship there is no escape.

Jameson's is a chart that shows the importance that siblings have in some lives when Gemini and Mercury are emphasized. The sibling relationship is more important than the mother/father, husband/wife or parent/child.

Jameson's brother was "all she had" most of her life. He raised her, comforted her, tormented her, was there for her.... She slept with him because she was so frightened when their father was gone at night. She ran to him.

VENUS IN PISCES

Jameson just might be the "whore with the heart of gold", an age-old stereotype and even archetype. Her Venus is exalted in Pisces, the most loving placement, and it is conjunct Jupiter. She has a spiritual love for all things and a vulnerability. People with Venus in Pisces have agape love, love that is spiritual and selfless in nature. I think this tone comes across in her autobiography even though it is ghost written. Jameson is very nonjudgmental. Her love for her father and brother is unconditional.

The gentle vulnerability of this Venus in Pisces is balanced with the Scorpio Moon. Jameson would make a tough enemy if forced into that position because her love was sorely tested or she was taken advantage of. An example of this is a roadie she put up with for ages who abused her and stole from her. Finally she caught on. Being on drugs most of that time, her focus wasn't very sharp.

Aries is easy enough to understand. Aries is the ALIVE sign. But Gemini? Maybe it's the flirtatiousness. Jameson has a Scorpio Moon which overrides the Gemini and makes her capable of commitment, provided she isn't fenced in. THE SCORPIO/PLUTO THING
Scorpio and Pluto add the erotic component. There is a bond and it can be a dark bond, such as illicitness or fear, such as "the first time" or "we shouldn't be doing this". Fear is a terrific aphrodisiac for men. That look of conflict on a woman's face is pretty irresistible.

Anytime someone says, "I never thought I'd see this day" or "I didn't know someone like you would go out with me" this is Neptune talking because they could imagine it or it wouldn't be happening.

WHAT SEPARATES MAIN STREAM FROM PORN?
What separates mainstream from porn? This debate has been going on for a long time. In astrology it's probably a reaction to an outer planet without involving the inner planets which are social and intimate. We need contacts to the inner planets for:

• Sun - how you help me know myself better
• Moon - intimacy and bonding, holding, cuddling and privacy
• Venus - getting to know you social time and wanting to wake up with you as well as lie down with you
• Mars - understanding the need for foreplay, albeit grudgingly

INTERPRETING SEXUALITY IN THE ASTROLOGY CHART
If you're going to be a good astrology reader, you need to be able to talk about sexuality comfortably. Few people will want to go into detail about their intimate lives. In fact, I think in all my years as an astrologer, I could count then on one hand. But the general topic is important and broadening your own horizons can be helpful in understanding that what one person thinks is normal may be a stretch for someone else. To be gifted at this kind of discussion, and to draw others out, you may have Gemini or Mercury involved with the 8th house. Libra Rising helps as does a Libra Moon or planets in the 7th house.

Regardless of your own orientation to sexuality, others may have vastly different needs and expectations which you can learn from an objective look at their charts. In order to get quickly oriented when the person is sitting across from me, my favorite question is, "When was the last time you were in a significant relationship?" Answers vary from a few weeks ago to 20 years ago which gives some sense of direction.

Clients whose Saturn is involved with the 8th house or Mars may have trouble talking about sex as they can be inhibited or oppressed about it. Tread softly with these clients. Much karma is involved.
