Jupiter is back again at Moon/Saturn in the 9th, where we found it transiting during Deregulation in 1975 and "Black Monday" in 1987. This 12 year cycle is eventful.

Transiting Neptune conjuncts the progressed Ascendant in Aquarius - this gives a new "face" to the stock market, one which is difficult to interpret. For one thing, the influx of uneducated investors is going to be a mixed blessing. Imagine the crowd storming the Bastille as you picture the recent Disney takeover.

Saturn is crossing the Midheaven - a new cycle and also conjunct Venus - this is a signature for debts coming due so perhaps there was a price to pay for this move.

Harvey Pitt who was appointed just a few days after Saturn and Pluto reached the halfway point in their cycle that began in 1982. Pitt, a Republican, replaced Levitt, a Democrat.

Saturn was transiting natal Pluto in the 7th in Aquarius when Levitt was appointed. Now Uranus is transiting natal Pluto. What was held down during Levitt's term will break loose during Pitt's. One might be tempted to say "all hell broke loose" beginning with 911 a few weeks after Pitt took office.

Saturn in Gemini is exactly opposing Pluto in Sagittarius across the 5th and 11th houses. The collective vision has become so tarnished, there is so much mistrust in communication and intent, that the heroic efforts of one man will be misinterpreted and blocked.

Combined, these transits paint a Promethean picture. In addition, Neptune is now approaching the Descendant. People are looking for a scapegoat and Pitt will be offered up, a propitiation to the stock market gods.

Pitt's term has also been described as "Mercurial", fitting this signature of the times. The real impact of his term will not become clear for another few years. It will certainly be seen as pivotal when the rest of the future of this cycle is revealed to us. He was a circuit breaker and I believe history will reveal that he did an outstanding job.

Uranus is preparing to pass into the 8th house where there will undoubtedly be shakeups at a more profound level. Transiting Saturn is inconjunct or quincunx transiting Neptune. This aspect describes an event which is both deeply disturbing and potentially ineffectual. Releasing Grasso probably did more harm than good. With the signature of Saturn/Neptune, one thinks of the Board of Directors who claimed they had "no idea" how much Grasso was making. Nonetheless, Grasso is generally considered to have been one of the best ever to hold the position and his loss could be considered a grotesque sacrifice to delusion.
