King and Saint Louis IX, Crusader King of France, didn't act like a king. Saintly by nature, he visited hospitals, cared for the sick, washed the feet of the poor and wore a hair shirt under his robes. Whereas some of this was typical of royalty during the Middle Ages, Louis seems to have been sincere in his humility.

He participated in two Crusades, experiencing dysentery both times (Virgo-type affliction) which actually caused his death on the second Crusade in which he participated.

The first assassination attempt against him occurred at the time of his first Saturn Return, on Februaty 4, 1949. The assassin fired five shots at close range, only one of which hit the Shah, wounding him slightly on the cheek. He died, deposed and in exile, at his second Saturn Return when he was sixty

Gustav Klimt, born 1862, was an Austrian painter known for his gilded paintings primarily of the female body and "frankly erotic" in nature. At his first Saturn Return both his father and brother died and he met and married Emilie Floege, who despite other dalliances on his part, remained his companion throughout life. Even when I have to write a simple letter I'm scared stiff as if faced with looming seasickness.

True relaxation, which would do me the world of good, does not exist for me.

"Frank eroticism" can be the ultimate Virgo quality as is the polar opposite of ascetic and saintly restraint, abstinence and denial.

Right on target at his first Saturn Return (30 years old), he was made ambassador to Berlin, a prize appointment. Shortly thereafter, Napoleon requested his presence in France. The liberal revolutions throughout Europe in 1848 brought his career to an end. This would have been the time of his second Saturn Return.

Stability is not immobility.

This is my favorite all time Virgo statement.

Isaac Asimov, great science fiction writer

Isaac Asimov began writing science fiction at 11! About the time of his first Saturn Return he earned a PhD in biochemistry. He later joined the faculty of Boston School of Medicine where he remained thereafter. I think Asimov may be the consummate Saturn in Virgo individual. A subtle thought that is in error may yet give rise to fruitful inquiry that can establish truths of great value.

From small things come great things.

The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.

This is a convoluted way around to integrity. Very subtle logic here as it seems to be just the opposite.
