It is valuable to integrate other healing paradigms with astrology, including the pyschological. These particular tips come from my experiences with rebirthing. I clue you in to the signs that are normally involved in these patterns. The sign may be prodominant by position near the angles of the chart, by lack or by number of planets in that sign or by house emphasis.
THESE ARE THE BASIC RULES
Rule 1: Anything unresolved with parents will come up in the person's other relationships.
Rule 2: Since we established our first relationship with our parents, we tend to recreate their personality type as closely as possible in our other relationships.
Rule 3: We tend to recreate the kind of relationships we had with our parents in our other relationships.
Rule 4: We will tend to copy the relationship our parents had with each other in our other relationships.
Here are some patterns you may recognize in yourself and your clients.
PARENTAL DISAPPROVAL
Since most
people are used to a heavy dose of parental disapproval, you will tend
to create upsets that will make others disapprove of you.

GET EVEN
You will
get even with your parents by using your mate or another.

HELPLESS
Most people
subconsciously want to remain children all their lives. A conflict will
occur when each wants to be a child and each wants the other to be his
or her parent.

STRUGGLE
Since most
people are used to the struggle they had with their parents, having a
totally easy, smooth, harmonious relationship is often too unfamiliar
to tolerate and too threatening.

SUPPRESSED INCEST
Suppressed
incest always stands in the way of sexual affection. The point at which
you could not acknowlege sexual feelings for your parents or they
for you, is the point where your sexuality becomes inhibited.

GUILT/PUNISHMENT
A major source
of guilt stems from your parents' inability to receive your love completely
and accept you as you are. You take this personally and begin to invalidate
yourself and punish yourself. You will attract people or situations to
prove your guilty thought about yourself.

FEELING
You will
create situations that will activate suppressed pain in order to heal
the unresolved pain from the past.

ATTRACTION
You will attract people who fit your patterns.

- Attracting that to which you are accustomed.
- Interpreting others' behavior to be that which you are accustomed to, whether it is or not.
- Actually causing or creating that to which you are accustomed.
